| NS Class 1100 | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|
This class of locomotive was introduced in 1950 and was based on the SNCF BB8100 class dating from 1949. The main change from the french original was the fitting of spring borne traction motors. NS further modified the class with roller bearings and larger buffers. The most visible alteration however was the fitting of new nose ends from 1978 onwards |
